As a company involved in the life cycle of batteries and accumulators, we are actively working towards meeting the European Union’s new Batteries Directive which aims to make businesses that produce and sell batteries fully responsible for collecting and recycling spent batteries. All batteries placed on the market are included. There are very few minor exemptions and the UK must bring the requirements of the new directive into directive into British law by 26 September 2008.
